  • This course is intended for senior residents, subspecialists and recently board-certified radiologists. It is designed to provide an in-depth view into modern application of cardiac imaging in the clinical practice. Recent advances and already established applications in Cardiac Radiology will be presented by a joint faculty consisting of internationally renowned Chinese and European experts. Starting with more general lectures about implementation and optimisation of both coronary CT angiography and cardiac MRI, the use of these modern techniques in different, most relevant clinical conditions will be discussed. The spectrum of clinical scenarios presented during this course will include topics spacing from acute chest pain over typical conditions and findings after treatment up to the differential diagnosis of myocardial diseases and cardiac involvement in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Even latest innovations like the functional assessment of coronary stenosis by means of coronary CT angiography will be addressed. The combination of didactic lectures and interactive case-based discussions guarantees the high educational value of this teaching programme.
